About microSP Technology

The “microSP” Technology aims to promote, among the Operators and Manufacturers involved in the Internet of Things sector, the new “microSP” RF Standard specific for “IoT” applications. The standard is based on the Ultra-low energy “microSP” Technology and is aimed in particular at the development of WSN (Wireless Sensor Networks) consisting of one-way wireless sensor and alarms operating on sub-GHz bands. The “microSP” Technology is the ideal solution for WLANs (Wireless Local Area Networks) consisting of wireless devices capable of guaranteeing a maintenance-free lifetime > 20 years. A parallel “LpNBFM” standard (Low power Narrow Band FM) for radio links and specific two-way applications will complete the deployment of “microSP” WLAN networks.


In the Bar-graph Diagram the forecast of the global market of wireless connections LPWAN and WLAN for the next years. The WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) will be an important part of the total in the “IoT” applications. The “microSP” Technology is at the forefront to secure most of the one-way wireless sensors and alarms.

WP-002 is a report on “IoT”, was drafted in 2016 and although it has been superseded by rapid progress in the sector, it maintains its validity above all in the technical-legal aspects.
WP-003 is the document that, taking into account the experience gained in the following years, introduces the “microSP” technology and the advantages that can derive from it in favoring the growth of the “IoT” sector.


Application Note


The “Application Notes” are technical documents that describe the features, performance, and advantages offered by the “microSP” Technology. It is explained, also with practical examples, how to apply “Low Energy” techniques in designing, manufacturing, testing and deploying wireless networks of “IoT” sensors.

The BST1712 measures the pressure and temperature of truck tires and transmits them every 5 seconds (CR1225 battery – four years lifespan).
